← All releasesAgents
- Agents can drive a browser tab of their own, opened beside their terminal and linked to it.
- The Rexa box in a browser tab sends notes to the linked agent and streams its replies.
- Card status settles correctly on Esc, denied tools, subagents and API errors; Claude background tasks no longer pin a card at working.
rexa <agent> setup installs, checks and removes an agent's hooks, session context and skills.- Shared Rexa skills ship with agents; Claude loads them as
/rexa:browser. - Agent cards are named the same way everywhere.
- Debug submenu on a console copies terminal, session and card ids.
Language servers
- Pick a toolchain per server root: TypeScript, Python, Node, Rust or Go. A pin in
.rexa/config.json or the lsp.toolchains setting overrides it. - TypeScript 7 runs natively, from the project or a bundled copy.
- Terminals, run actions and agents get the active Python venv and pinned Node first on
PATH. - Restart, stop, start and trace each server from the status popup, the palette or
rexa lsp. - Servers of the same language group together in the popup.
- Status bar shows error and warning counts; click for a popup of every problem by file.
- Problems tab (
cmd-shift-m), Problems palette screen, and f8 / shift-f8 to step through problems.
Browser
- Find bar, page edit keys, and sending a note to an agent.
- Page cursor shows correctly; the box has a sensible default height and the header collapses.
- Menus and popups draw over the page.
Git and pull requests
- Changes list as a list, tree or grouped by folder.
- Compare face next to Changes and History, based on the checkout's pull request.
- File panel beside commit and review diffs.
- Review a pull request inline from its Changes diff; comments and merges update at once.
- A pull request follows the branch that is checked out.
Comments
enter saves a comment, shift-enter breaks a line, cmd-l sends.- Comment on Mermaid nodes, edges and subgraphs.
- Dropping a comment onto an agent sends it.
- Reveal lands on the comment in diffs and markdown.
- Comment marks land on the selected characters; saving releases the selection.
- Trash button in the box deletes the comment.
Mermaid
- Open diagrams fullscreen, pinch to zoom.
- Layout follows Mermaid's own.
Editor
- Syntax highlighting for Dockerfile, git files, Vue, Svelte, Kotlin, Dart, Prisma, Nix and
.env. - Open editor and markdown tabs reload when files change on disk, keeping selection, scroll and undo history.
- No hover popup over inline bands.
- Markdown copies selections as plain text.
Files
- Ignored files are muted in the tree; nested
.gitignore files apply. - Quick-open keeps each worktree's file index between uses.
- Terminal paths search, reveal and open with fresh answers.
- A leading
/ stays query text in files mode.
Terminal
- Links keep a hard-broken line from joining a styled row.
- A closed shell ends with SIGHUP.
- Shells no longer inherit
cargo run or agent environment variables.
Interface
- Bottom panel shows the focus marker, takes focus and closes with
cmd-w. - Palette draws inside the window and returns focus when it closes.
- Clicking a tab focuses its content.
- Browser, Problems and Git graph tabs have their own icons.
- Focus marker redraws when focus moves.
- Agent card titles ellipsize in the sidebar.
- Reset text size shows the default; default size is 13.5.
- Run actions are deprecated; the run button is a split button.
Breaking
- Project extensions (
.rexa/extensions) are removed. .rexa/config.json keeps only actions.- The bundled tasks extension is removed.
Internal
- Moved to
gpui-pre 0.3.6 and gpui-base 0.6.6 with gpui from the deltaqdev/gpui fork; gpui-component dropped. - Shell owns window layout; Worktree owns its panes and runs. Features no longer hold a
Rexa handle (update_later removed). Convention tests guard the rule. - Panels build from their worktree; palette openers moved to their features.
- Agent card status is decided by adapters; card state is flat with setters. All adapters ported.
- New
rexa-transcript crate; agent box replies stream. - Extension SDK: own decoder, trimmed utils,
main.ts blueprint enforced by test. - Control API endpoint with bearer token and terminal screen text.
- Ephemeral instance dirs are marked;
runtime.json is owner-only. - Recap replaced by pane titles; old shell helpers split into
ui/strip and ui/list. - CI runs on Blacksmith; stray Python bytecode cache removed.
new-architecture.md replaces the refactor docs.
