Rexa v0.7.0

Agents

  • Add waiting status when an agent has running background tasks or subagents.
  • Add Agent Inspector to show an agent's progress, turns, artifacts, edits and context. cmd-i opens it for the focused agent.
  • New transcript view with improved UI and live updates. Optimize performance of loading transcripts.
  • Add an agent toolbar to agent panes for the agent's worktree, simulator, browser and Inspector.
  • Show an agent's linked worktree, and reveal it or review its changes from the current worktree.
  • Resume agent sessions automatically on restore, and after restarting the terminal daemon.

Skills and CLI

  • Add /rexa:agent skill to find, start, message and review other agents with rexa agent start, stop, wait, watch and send. It replaces /rexa:handoff.
  • Add /rexa:setup skill to port themes and keybindings, import projects, set up agents and bring sessions over from another tool, with rexa settings and rexa keymap.
  • Add /rexa:simulator skill to build, run and drive iOS apps with rexa sim: snapshot, tap, type, swipe, wait and read logs.
  • Add rexa transcript to print a session's transcript.
  • Improve CLI output with aligned tables.

Layout and drag

  • Drag tabs, terminals and sidebar rows to reorder, split or move them.
  • Drop files, commits, search results and sessions into the layout to open them, or onto a terminal to mention them.
  • Move terminals and agent cards between columns, worktrees and the floating view.

iOS Simulator

  • Add iOS simulator tabs with the live device screen, touch, keys, zoom, screenshots and recording.
  • Add Simulator settings for captures, default device, agent access and idle shutdown.

Editor

  • Add vim : ex commands in the palette, and vim / and ? search through the find bar with smart case.
  • Add cmd-=, cmd-- and cmd-0 zoom to image and SVG tabs.

Workspace

  • Hide agent-generated worktrees by default; add or remove hidden patterns in Settings → Git.
  • New cmd-o project picker with recent projects and live folder search.
  • Improve startup time by deferring the extension host to the background.
  • Add hover tooltip to console tabs to show running agents.
  • Add cmd-enter in the Add to Chat picker to send, submit and stay in the current focus.

Git and Forge

  • Add keyboard navigation to the Changes list.
  • Add hover previews for issues, pull requests and runs, with merge conflict status.

Terminal

  • Improve terminal output performance, about 3 times faster for plain text.
  • Add palette commands to restart or stop the terminal daemon.
  • Fix zsh history to save to your own history file.

Changed

  • rexa agent start opens agents in the background; pass --focus to bring one forward.
  • List commands print new tables; JSON cards use name instead of title, transcript entries record instead of raw.

Fixes

  • Fix encoding of pages with no declared charset.
  • Fix a crash when clicking image zoom buttons.
  • Fix ~ in theme.path, and rexa open when the window is behind others.
  • Show a notice when the extension host stops.
